ECEM

ECEM is the largest and longest running conference on eye-movements world-wide. EMRA organized ECEM 2013 in collaboration with COGAIN and the Humanities Lab, Lund University, from 11th to 16th of August 2013 in Lund, Sweden. For the first time the ECEM incorporated preconference EMRA methods workshops, running August 7th to 10th, which was a great success. These workshops were designed and organised by Marcus Nystrom, Dan Witzner Hansen, and Fiona Mulvey (ECEM organiser, member of the EMRA board and the COGAIN board).

The academic program was co-chaired by Kenneth Holmqvist, EMRA board member and researcher at Lund University Humanities Lab, and Arantxa Villanueva, President of COGAIN and researcher at the School of Industrial and Telecomunicactions Engineering, Public University of Navarre.

EMRA had it's first General Assembly meeting at 7pm on Sunday, August 11th, 2013 at the conference venue.

Tools developed by Detlev Droege (EMRA webportal administrator) and Fiona Mulvey (EMRA Chair, ECEM 2013 Main Organiser) for ECEM, were also used to manage and organise ECEM in 2015 in Vienna, Austria.

Apart from workshops, EMRA also co-organised student software competitions at ECEM 2013 and at ECEM 2015, with entries adding to our library of open source tools - you can navigate to our shared tools using the menu left.

Proceedings from ECEM are published biennially in the Journal of Eye Movements Research.
